Beat the Streets

Unique walking and cycling challenge launches in County Durham Communities in Chester-le-Street and Ferryhill came together this week to launch a brand new walking and cycling initiative that will be transforming both areas into a giant game. Running from 29 March to 17 May, Beat the Street is a free, fun challenge, which will turn Ferryhill, Chilton and Chester-le-Street into a massive game where people are rewarded with points and prizes for exploring the town on foot or bicycle. Junior Rowing Regatta – Chester-le-Street Rowing Club

Chester-le-Street Rowing Club will be hosting a rowing regatta for juniors to be held on Saturday 23rd September 2017 from 9.30am – 3.00pm at Chester-le-Street Riverside (beside Durham County Cricket Club). The Chairman of Durham County Council – Bill Kellet – will be official opening the event at 11.00am.
