Pelton has a great community centre which offers something for people of all ages. From parent and toddler groups, to fitness and martial arts classes, from bingo sessions to tea dances, from bowls to a lunch club.

The recently opened Room 14 is a youth centre which is attached to the community centre, but offers a real space dedicated to the young people of Pelton. Teenagers and young people are welcome to join in with loads of activities including music, dance and fitness, and are also welcome to just drop in to hang out with friends. Room 14 includes DJ turntables, a computer room, a hairdressing suite and a chill-out area. Drop in to find out more.

Whats on at Pelton Community Centre & Room 14, Front Street, Pelton

Pelton Community Centre’s main building was opened during 1973, and is a registered charity offering groups, services and rooms for hire all day every day.

We host various groups throughout the day, 6 days a week; however, we also host one off events throughout the year as a way of bringing the community together, such as, our Christmas Pantomime, Jubilee Fun Days, Mobile Cinema Showings, Car Boots, Coffee Mornings, Christmas Fayres, Summer Fayres, Talen Shows and the list goes on and on.

With activities ranging from a ’6 day a week’ gym (from as little as £2 per session) to a 320m2 Main Hall and Stage Facility available for parties, conferences and classes, we hope to cater for everyone.  We can also offer a bouncy castle to hire for parties, an IT suite with interactive whiteboard, catering facilities and more.

For an up to date timetable or information on up and coming events just check out our ‘What’s New’ page on the website as well as more details on here.  For more information please call us on 0191 3700726 or e-mail
